Can I link the email signup form with a service other than MailChimp?

I'm looking into Sendy, a self-hosted app that is significantly less expensive than Mailchimp, but I've realized that my Email for Download option would not add emails to my mailing list. So I'm curious if there's a way to integrate with other services. Sendy has an API.

So in theory, yes. But we haven't written the wrapper for it. Will look
    into the sendy API though!

That said, you can export your list any time, so as long as Sendy as an
import function you should be all set. Let me know?

Yeah, I was hoping to get it all automated. Trying to make this as
    self-guided as possible :)

Thanks for looking into the API. It would be super awesome to get that
integration going. Sendy is SUPER affordable for a solo artist.

Based on the above, I checked out Sendy and definitely would be interested in an integration!
So far I like CashMusic -- but I'm so tired of Mailchimp. Too much effort into their platform is designed about making sure you can't leave.
