Double opt in?

When someone signs up for my mailing list on CASH music connected to mailchimp it doesn't sign them straight up to
my email address.

It seems to just send them an email asking them to sign up.

Is this correct, does it have to be this way?

    Hi Stuart,

Yeah if you want to use MailChimp you need the opt-in — it's part of their sign up flow to ensure they're not sending out too much SPAM (and shutting down your account in the process.)

If you want to do it without the opt-in you can move to advanced mode, disconnect the MailChimp account, and make sure that "skip email verification" is checked. You'll need to export the addresses and import them into MailChimp after the fact — the downside being you'll either have to sent out confirmation mail at import or vouch for them all, risking SPAM complaints.

anything like this, thankyou so much :)

Unfortunately, I'm not finding the site so easy to navigate at all. In
truth, I'm finding it frustrating! :(

I've now de-linked mailchimp (thanks for that).

Now, where do I go to see the list of people who have signed up within your
site on cashmusic I can't work it out?

    Hey Stuart,

Sorry...It's not the most intuitive UI, we know. Working on new stuff to hopefully make it a lot easier.

To see the list you just need to go to People in the main nav, then list. Under the list you want you'll see a few options: View, Edit, Export, Delete.

Click view to see the most recent 100 signups, get stats like total members, etc. Edit just changes the name/description you have on it internally. And Export will let you download a copy of the whole list as a CSV file — so you can re-import it to MailChimp, Excel, your email program, or really anything.

    Hope that helps,
