Encrypted Streaming Links? Google Calendar Integration?

Hello CASH!

Was wondering if you had given any thought to making links to streaming MP3s encrypted so that not just anyone could directly link and download the music files. Even if you're giving music away, it seems a little gaping-open if the streaming links are so easily visible in the page's source code...

And my other question, might you be thinking of adding some Google Calendar integration? I know of several artists who use a public Google calendar to organize their show schedule platform, which then syncs to the various places online where the schedule is listed... It's also dead-easy for the user. Anyways, just a thought!

Really love what you guys are doing, can't wait for the upcoming fall releases!

    Hey,

Yeah we've actually been doing this for a while and we're porting it all into the platform right now. We'll offer both public and secured (login) streams that will use file security on things. In the case of public stuff it'll let artists better track usage, and for secure it'll actually get all the way down to who is using what stream/tracks...

And Google calendar — we have a ticket for ICS export on the events. It's just a start, but that will allow google to pull things in. A little later we plan on tackling sync between places — we're planning on songkick support and a 2-way sync with Google would be pretty rad too. Good idea!
