    Hi Jakob,

Sorry about the delay. I'm on the heels of a big family trip and was really backed up.

So the plain white page most likely indicates a PHP error. Without access to the logs it's pretty impossible to diagnose, because every host is set up differently. We do a bunch of checks in the installer to avoid this in most cases but they apparently didn't help in this case.

It's not immediate help, but we've been pushing a lot of new code to the hosted beta of the platform, and that will all come back into the self install soon — including more checks and better error messages in the installer.

For now you might want to check this out:

See if your host keeps a PHP log file somewhere — it would be in a different directory than the web files. That might give you a specific error to work with.

Hmm...odd. Check in the constants.php file and see if the link to cashmusic.php is correct. Should look something like this (but different...)

    https://github.com/cashmusic/platform/blob/release_5/interfaces/php/admin/constants.php

Sorry, out of ideas. That error is saying it can't find the cashmusic.php file, so I'm not sure why that's happening.

Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Oh and what host are you using? Trying to keep a list of hosts that give errors so we can test against them.

    one more question...
when i install via webinstaller the suggested path for the core files never works i always have to install them in a sub folder to my cashmusic folder.
could that cause any trouble ?

    thanks

...if you don't use absolute paths in the constants/settings, then yes. The links could appear correct but not be tied to a proper include directory. But otherwise it should be flexible.

    hi jesse,
i got a little further and different errors. i can complete the installation enter the core path but instead of the "all done" screen i get a blank page.
when i try to access URL/cashmusic it says URL not found
when i access /cashmusic/admin i get the login screen but no username / password works, forgot passwd doesnt work either (there was an error)
    the log entries are:

    PHP Warning: rmdir(./test) [<a href='function.rmdir'>function.rmdir</a>]: File exists in /mnt/web9/a1/74/53810174/htdocs/cashmusic/cashmusic_web_installer.php on line 50, referer: URL/cashmusic/cashmusic_web_installer.php
