I attempted to install cashmusic on my own remote server but I got an error once it tried to create the database above the www root. I already created a directory called cashmusic above the visible www folder, but it still cannot communicate with the database. The server is running Apache 2.2.16 on Ubuntu. I attached a screenshot of the error and of the visible www cashmusic directory. Let me know if you need any more info. Please help if you can. Thanks. Carl

Hmm. Sounds like a write permission error potentially? Can you tell if
the sqlite DB was actually created?

    Hello,

It created a db folder but there are no files in it. I set the permissions of the folders to 777 (read-write-execute) but it still didn't work. Any other suggestions? Thanks.

I got this error, and it turned out I didn't have the sqlite php module installed...

Thank You! Yep, that was the problem. I didn't have the sqlite php module installed. It is working now.

And look in your system settings (hover over your email address) if
you'd like to upgrade to MySQL. It's not part of the installer now but
we will be adding an "advanced" option in the future.

    Sorry Carl,

Not sure. We're still working on the installer and testing
compatibility across hosts. Are there any other error messages in your
    PHP error.log or similar?

I have the very same problem! But how would you go about installing the sqlite module if your web host does not provide it and only mysql?

Hi Folks, so I am now trying to update my version of cashmusic. I backed up my database and uploaded the update.php file to my cashmusic folder with the admin and api folders. When I run the update I get a copying error. Any ideas for what the problem could be. I thought that I fixed all my permissions errors last time around. Thanks, Carl

    Hi Carl,

Did you copy down the latest version of the updater, and what's the exact error number / message?

I downloaded the update.php file from this blog post http://blog.cashmusic.org/2012/06/05/a-preview-of-our-next-release/

There isn't an error number listed. All is says is "Error copying could not copy the release profile successfully."

    Thanks,
    Carl
