Hi Im having some trouble with creating hyperlinks,
for creating download links and connecting to urls to open say a youtube/vimeo file...
I can get it to work as a right click function using <a href= but not as a simple click?
Im attempting to do this in the content section of the menbersarea element.
I have managed to get an image displayed, and I am using amazon s3

    Hey Richard!

I'm not sure what you're talking about? Can you elaborate further, please?

I set a members only area and I included two links: one sets a target (the link will open in a new window) and the other one does not. The code is nothing fancy:

    <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Tv5q-jPXEE" target="new">hyperlink with target</a>

    This is what it yields:

    Email: [email blocked]
    Password: squishy

I get both links and they both open just fine.

Are you trying to do something different?

    Very best,

    Hi Tracy,

I can’t Get into the members only area you set, as I don’t have an email address to put in the field,
I just got email blocked and the password.
So I can’t see your examples.

But if I understand correctly, I need a target hyperlink to connect to say a youtube page and for it to open in a new window…?
what code is required to open it on the same page? or is the only options really a new window or new tab??

Also I am struggling with creating a download link, could you tell me the code required to do this correctly,
as I said I can only seem to get it to work with a control click/ right click???

    Many Thanks

    Hi again Richard,

yes, I gave you MY email address and password, so try again please! Once again, it's:

    Email: [email blocked] Password: squishy

It doesn't have to open in a new tab—but I gave you both examples to show you that regular `<a></a> links will open in the same window or in a new tab just fine.

If you want to link to a YouTube video and have it open in the same window, use this code and replace the URL with a link of your choosing:

    <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Tv5q-jPXEE">hyperlink with target</a>

As for a download link, do you mean for a music file? (e.g. do you want me to help you set up a CASH Music digital download element) I can definitely help you with that—just let me know!

    Very best,

    Hi Tracy,

No I don’t get your email address, all I get in your email is:
    > Email: [email blocked]

which is not an email address, and did not work anyway when I tried to use it in the email field…?

thanks for showing me the other way of hyperlinking, I will try this
I have tried the the open in a new window one, and works for me, many thanks

Yes a cash music element to download link for a music file would be amazing thanks

    best regards

Oh - got it. Tender must be blocking my email address.

I'll help you with your download element in a sec, but in the meantime, if
you want to check out the hyperlinks, my email address is tracy @ cashmusic
. org (no spaces), and the password is "squishy".

    Very best,

    Hi again Richard,

that's great to hear! That's exactly what I was going to email to let you
know about—I'd been writing a new help article and taking screencaps.

Glad to know it worked out for you.

    Very best,
